Charles Stanley Messing, 79, passed away on March 28, 2021. Born on February 18, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Howard Walter Messing and the late Carrie Helen (nee Cromwell) Messing.
Chuck, as he was known, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1961. He proudly served in the United States Army, until his honorable discharge on July 31, 1967. For 30 years, Chuck was employed as a chemical operator for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was an avid collector of Native American memorabilia and enjoyed watching NASCAR, bowling, camping and other outdoor activities.
Chuck is survived by one son, Stan Messing; two daughters, Sandra (Mark) Abraham and Theresa Messing; his lifelong companion, Sharon (nee Magno) Messing; a special niece, Sherri (Jay) (nee Sulpulver) Johnson; grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Iric, Salvatore, Savannah, Evan, Jacob and Rachel and two great-grandchildren Ezra and Eli. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by granddaughter, late Taylor H. Messing and siblings, Albert and Marilyn.
