Christopher Bystrzak

Christopher Bystrzak, of Grand Island, NY, age of 58, passed away on June 21, 2024.  Born on September 17, 1965 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Carl Bystrzak and the late Kathleen (Deal) DePetris.

Chris was formerly employed as Director of MIS/ Networking Engineer for Northtown Automotive Group. He had a lifelong passion for music and worked as a sound engineer DJing and doing karaoke for friends. Chris was also an avid boater. His true heart was being free on the water, captaining his boat, entertaining friends, and bursting into the wild Lake Erie waters.. He loved cruising the river as well, docking up anywhere he could on the Upper Niagara. Above all, he loved being surrounded by family and friends. He was known for being the "smartest guy in the room," and we will all miss his extraordinary intelligence and amazing talents. Sadly, Chris has “Logged Off” for the last time.

In addition to his father, Chris is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bystrzak; two daughters, Kara (Mark) McGee and Rebecca (Michael) Kaufman; two brothers, Shane (Toni) Moccio and Josh (Miranda) Moccio and two grandchildren, Levi and Ezra McGee. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by one sister, Lisa Bystrzak.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Friday, June 28th, from 2-6 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where a service will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m.
