Cora A. (Phillips) Dufour

Cora A. (Phillips) Dufour, 91, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Lockport Rehabilitation Health Care Center.  Born on January 2, 1927 in Parsonville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Flotillia (Gensler) Phillips.  Cora married Albert Dufour in Pennsylvania on June 14, 1947.

Cora attended schools in Pennsylvania and came to Niagara Falls in 1955.  She enjoyed bingo, jigsaw puzzles and spending her younger years as a homemaker, raising her family.

Cora is survived by children, Alberta (Bob) Odrzywolski, Diana (Mark) Hebert, Calvin (Lori) Dufour, Joseph (Cindy) Dufour and Beth (Stephen) Wallace; grandchildren, Kathy (David) Krause, Jimmy Tarapczynski, Denise Peacock, Jennie (Michael) West, Jason (Sara) Dufour, Carl (Nicole) Dufour, Stephen Wallace, Danny Wallace and Amy Wallace and eleven great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by siblings, James (Betti) Phillips, Richard (Ginnie) Phillips and William (Bonnie) Phillips and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, Cora was predeceased by a grandson, Calvin Dufour and brothers and sisters, Thomas, Mary, John, Charles, Joseph, Ruby, Leona and Shirley.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Sherrie Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St, Gasport, NY.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Solid Rock Assembly of God, 8590 Rochester Road, Gasport, NY 14067.  EVERYONE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the church.
