Dah'Zyer Naiyonna Gulley

My new adventure has begun! 

Ahoy there! We are sad to announce the passing of Dah’Zyer Naiyonna Gulley, affectionally known to her family as “Mama’s”. While she graced us with her presence just shy of the tender age of 6 months, Mama’s was still a ray of sunshine in our lives. Dah’Zyer was born October 27, 2022 in Lewiston, New York and unexpectedly set sail off to her new adventure on the cold morning of April 22, 2023 in Niagara Falls, New York. 

Dah’Zyer was a bubbly baby. Her laughter was like the soft wind and her spirit, playful and serene. Mama’s loved nothing more than to snuggle up with her family. Her smile was everything and would brighten your day. She shared a unique bond with her twin sister, Naziyah (Mama). Their souls intertwined like branches of a tree. Mama’s also loved playing peekaboo with her older brother, Naizer. Her eyes sparkled with wonder as she watched “Dora the Explorer”. Her greatest joy came from the loving embrace of her parents, who cradled her softly in their arms. 

Dah’Zyer is survived by her adventurous crew. Including her Mommy, Deja Wilson and her Daddy, Naim Gulley, Jr.; Big Brother, Naizer Damerae Gulley and her baby twin sister, Naziyah Dior Gulley; Paternal Grandmother, Jamie ‘Nannie’ Skye; Grandfather, Carlos ‘PaPa’ Williams; Maternal Grandmother, Yolanda ‘Gma’ Carr; Maternal Great-Grandmother, Jackie ‘GG’ Degree Carr; Her beautiful Aunties, Dominique Cox, Ja’Naiyha, Nesiah, Aveiona, Nazciona Gulley, Sirenity King, and Danielle (John) Davis; Loving Uncles, Louis Carr, Christopher Skye, Michael Skye, and Day’Qjuan Posey and a host of cousins and other family members who loved our Explorer. There are four special friends of the parents, Jayla Dexler, Jeremiah ‘JJ’ Foster, Keneniha and Nadiaa. 

Mama’s has been reunited with family who passed on before her. Her Paternal Grandfather, Naim Y. Gulley, Sr.; Maternal Great-Great-Grandfather, James Carr, Sr.; Paternal Great-Great-Grandparents, Cynthia A. Willimott and Thomas W. Skye; two cousins, Cameron M. Skye and Mercedes Carr. 

Dah’Zyer Naiyonna ‘Mama’s’ may have set sail for her next voyage, but her memory will continue to shine bright. We’ll miss her, but we’re grateful for the time we had with her.

Family and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Mama’s life on Friday, April 28th, from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at 491-19th Street in Niagara Falls.  Private services were held at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.  Share condolences and view her tribute video at GOODLANDERCARES.com
