Daniel Matthew Swiatek

Daniel Matthew Swiatek, 83, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on March 25, 2023 at his residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born on October 7, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Matthew and Sophie (nee Chiocki) Swiatek.  On September 25, 1973, Dan married Pamela Jean ‘Pam’ Hill.

Dan attend schools in Buffalo and came to the Niagara Falls area in the early 1970’s.  He retired as a car hauler and truck driver from the former Leaseway Transportation Corporation.  Dan attended St. Leo Church (St. Vincent de Paul Parish) and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycle and keeping up on current events.  He was an avid dog lover. His great sense of humor will be missed by his family and friends. Above all else, Dan deeply loved his family and spending time with them.

In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Dan is survived by children, Veronica Swiatek and Daniel Gregory (Erica) Swiatek; grandchildren, Danny and Lance Swiatek; siblings, Arlene and Gerry and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by a daughter, Stacey and a sister, Diane.
