David Garnett Vaught, 69, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on January 7, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on August 8, 1955 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Garnett and Amelia (Kroetsch) Vaught.
David graduated from Grand Island High School in 1973. He previously worked for Elrae Pressed Metals in Buffalo and retired from Survey Services of WNY. David was a member of Twin Cities Camera Club, WNY Hotrods Customs & Classics, WNY Mopar, Unique Car Club, Mopar 716, Pist'N Broke Cruisers and WNY Bike Night & Car Cruisers. He enjoyed attending Wurlitzer Monday Night Car Shows. David was a longtime photographer having photographed many family events including, weddings, graduations and memories.
David is survived by his companion of 28 years, Laura Cardwell; sisters, Rose (late Stephen) McClellan and Donna (Martin) Michalski; step-brothers, Ronald (Victoria) VanHorn and Raymond (Phoebe) VanHorn; his beloved cat, Hemi and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Friday, January 17th, from 4-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY (716-297-9007), where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to 10 Lives Cat Club, www.tenlivesclub.com P.O.
