Deanna (Printup) Gunn, 83, of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, passed way on December 15, 2021. Born on March 10, 1938 on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Natalie (Anderson) Printup.
Deanna was an enrolled member of the Tuscarora Bear Clan and was a lifelong resident of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as a Certified Medical Assistant for various locations and also a janitor for the Niagara Wheatfield Board of Education. Deanna enjoyed sewing, gardening and listening to music. In her younger years, she like riding motorcycle.
Deanna is survived by her children, Natalie Capton, Bernadette Captan-Leading Fox, William (Susan) Capton, Sander Capton, Dena (Christopher) Allen, Oohweedeh (Peter) Razov and Robert (Kimberly) Gunn; step-sons, Russell Gunn, Leonard (Brenda) Gunn and Wayne Gunn; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Deanna was predeceased by her husband, Robert Gunn on April 12, 2002 and all of her siblings.
The family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family Parish.
