Dolly M. (Sherwood) Salerno

Dolly M. (Sherwood) Salerno, of Niagara Falls, NY, age of 82, passed away on July 27, 2024.  Born on July 16, 1942 in McGees Mills, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edith (Campbell) Ellis and step-daughter of the late Kenneth Ellis, Sr. and the wife of the late Robert J. Salerno.

Dolly worked several jobs over her lifetime. The job she most enjoyed was the 16 years she spent working at Tops Markets as the Playhouse attendant until her retirement.  Playing with and teaching the children brought her great joy.She liked to play Uno with her family, especially her grandchildren, watching game shows and was an avid fan of golf. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her daughters, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dolly will be fondly remembered by all that knew her and will be dearly missed by her family.

Dolly is survived by children, Deborah (John) Forcucci, Cindy (Doug) Wojtowicz, Kimberly Barnard, Valerie Sherwood and Shannon Watkins; grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth) Sherwood, Erica Sherwood, Tony Gutierrez, Tori Orel, Anthony Forcucci, Nicholas Forcucci and Marisa Forcucci; great-grandchildren, Haylee, Brooklyn, David, Eleanor, Zoe, Lyra and Alaric; sister, Jean (Jerry) Roberts; her precious cat, Diamond; lovingly called ‘step-monster’ by Patti DesLaurieis and Sharon Salerno and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one grandson, Michael Pawlikowski, Jr. and several siblings.
