Donald J. Etopio, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 2, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on November 27, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Dominic Joseph and Marie (Barbera) Etopio and the husband of Lesley A. (Meyers) Etopio.
Donnie proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He worked as a banker for HSBC and then the SBA Disaster Assistance Office. Donnie was a longtime member of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish and enjoyed his trips to the casino.
In addition to his wife of almost 50 years, Donnie is survived by one son, Greg Etopio; grandchildren, Sydney and Gio; one sister, Barbara Cline and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Francine (late Danny) DiNunzio.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Sunday, from 4-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Donnie’s funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7th, at 11:00 a.m. Prayers of committal and entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
