Donna Jean (Hooper) Jeffs

Donna Jean (Hooper) Jeffs, 62, of Youngstown, NY, passed away in the loving arms of her family on October 6, 2023, at home.

Donna was born in Elmsford, NY on September 25, 1961 to the late Richard Hooper and the late Dorothy (Smith) Andresen.  Donna was a graduate of LaSalle High School, class of 1979 and studied elementary education at Western Kentucky University, where she also played Rugby.

Donna’s occupations varied from the food industry, banking, and industrial, to her real home, The United States Postal Service, where she supervised the Main Street branch in Niagara Falls.  Her real love for life was being the best wife, daughter, grandmother, sister, mother, mentor, and provider, which she did flawlessly.

Donna was the complete Mom to her daughters, Shannon and Kelsey, who she loved immensely and could not be more proud of her college grads.  Her babies did everything possible for her in her time of need and the Jeffs’ family could not be more proud.  Donna loved her family at St. John Episcopal Church in Youngstown, NY.

With the heaviest of hearts, survivors include Donna’s husband and companion of over 40 years, Harold Jeffs; daughters, Shannon Jeffs Auriemma and Kelsey Jeffs; the apple of her eye and grandson, Jackson Rorick Punch, her pumpkin and sweet pea; brothers, Richard Hooper and Russell (Cathy) Hooper and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by a sister, Laurie Heigl and a brother, Dennis Hooper.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, October 13th, from 3-6:30 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Donna’s life celebration and funeral service will follow visitation, at 6:30 p.m., with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
