GODIN-Douglas Roy Louis

Age 82, of North Tonawanda, NY, died January 28, 2024.  Born on July 15, 1941 in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Louis Godin and the late Loretta (nee Madere) Godin. On December 19, 1970, Douglas married Lois (nee Grant) Godin.  She predeceased him on March 26, 2021.

He proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy and came to the local area in 1969. Douglas owned and operated both a roofing company and HVAC company prior to his retirement and had attended Calvary Bible Church.

Douglas is survived by children, Daniel Godin and Sandra Godin; step-sons, John and Thomas Kosis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Pat and John and many other dear family and friends, including his 'favorite' granddaughter, Adrienne Kosis.  Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah and sisters, Rose 'Claudette', Karen, and Doreen. 

All services are private.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.
