Duane Earl Bartz

Duane Bartz, 65,  from Delevan, NY, walked (probably ran and stumbled) into the arms of his Savior on November 13, 2023.  Born on April 25, 1958 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Earl Harold and Jennie Irene (Williams) Bartz.

Duane lived the life for Christ and demonstrated it, not only as a teacher of the gospel, but laid his life out in his 2 churches. Central Baptist Church was his home church and Reformed Freedom Baptist Church was his missionary church.  

He is survived by his children, Brianna (Walter) Richardson of Oxford, NC, Josiah (Audri) Bartz of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Drew (Arielle) Shannon of Buffalo, Kyel Bartz of Tonawanda, Micah Bartz of Buffalo, Eliah Bartz of Ft Bliss, TX, Nythaniel Bartz of Buffalo, Aleah Bartz of Buffalo, and Zechariah Bartz of Buffalo; 2 grandchildren, Walter Richardson, Jr., and Mabel Richardson of Oxford and a sister, Rebecca Feller of Lyndonville, NY. He was predeceased by both parents and his 2 brothers, Dennis Potter, and Barry King.

Calling hours are Friday, December 1st from 6:30-8:30 pm and Saturday, December 2nd  from 10am-11am with a funeral service immediately following at Central Baptist Church, 12045 Old Olean Rd., Yorkshire, NY 14173. Officiating will be Pastors Ben and Steve. He will be buried in Acacia Park and Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Tonawanda at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the go fund me account set up in his name.
