Elaine T. (Timneri) Herbst

Elaine T. (Timneri) Herbst, 77, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on July 4, 2025.  Born on April 13, 1948 in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary (Fusco) Timneri and the wife of Thomas R. Herbst.

Elaine earned her Masters Degree in Education from Niagara University.  She worked as a teacher for Niagara Falls School District, Kelley Business Institute, Niagara Catholic High School and retired in 1990 from St. Peter's Lutheran School.  Elaine loved her cats, Dixie and Daisy and enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and watching game shows.

In addition to her beloved husband, Elaine is survived by her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Doreen Herbst; sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Richard Wielgus; nieces, Meghan (Robert) Gadawski and Jillian (Mark Pickhardt) Stoneberg; great-niece, Madison Stoneberg and great-nephews, Brennan Sherriff, Evan Wielgus and Matthew Gadawski and several cousins.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, July 10th, from 4-6 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Private prayers of committal and interment will be held in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA.
