Elizabeth (Jardin) Richardson

Elizabeth (Jardin) Richardson, 87, wife of the late John Richardson, of the Town of Niagara, passed from this life on January 2, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on January 22, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ella May (Martin) Jardin.

Betty, as she was known, attended local schools and graduated from Buffalo State College with her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  She was employed as a school teacher for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, where she taught at the 79th Street School for over 43 years, until her retirement in 1998. Betty was a congregant of First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls, and taught Sunday school for over 50 years, the Retired Teachers Association, Rainbow Club, St. John’s Seniors, Christian Women and Church Women United. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and reading.

Betty is survived by her pastor and dear friend, Rev. Kathleen (Toby) Ordiway and many special friends and caregivers.
