Emily A. (Lewellyn) Dotts, 80, passed away on September 22, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on June 29, 1945 in Arlington, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Hazel (Suratts) Lewellyn and the wife of the late Merrill Dotts.
Emily graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1964. Prior to being a Homemaker, she was employed by Mount St. Mary's Hospital as a Nurses Aide and by Tops Markets, where she worked as a Meat Wrapper in their meat department. Emily was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and served as President of Schoellkopf Nursing Home Resident Council. She enjoyed knitting, Bingo and playing cards.
Emily is survived by children, James (Barbara) Dotts, Denise (Ron) Zey, Dennis (Kathleen) Dotts and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Glover; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend Emily’s funeral service on Friday, September 26th, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Timothy Anas officiating. Everyone please assemble at church. Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or a charity of one's choice.
