Florence M. (Dietz) Yaggie

Florence M. (Dietz) Yaggie, 95, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on January 12, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on October 1, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John J. Dietz, NFPD, Ret. and the late Marie A. (Carey) Dietz.  On July 16, 1955 Florence married Walter J. Yaggie at First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  He predeceased her on January 1, 2016.

Florence was a lifelong area resident and in 1991 she retired from John’s Flaming Hearth, where she worked in the kitchen.

Florence is survived by children, Cheryl (Maurice) Killifer, Jr., Caryl (David) Sodano, Coryl Yaggie, Caryn (Joe Carr) Kraft and Cheri Yaggie; grandchildren, Maurice Killifer, III, Justin (Melinda) Killifer, Cali (Edward) Schueler, Daniel Sodano, Danielle (Matthew) LeMay, Carly (Christopher) Ferchen, Randy Kraft, Jr., Misty Kraft, Jaime (Robert Bergeron) Kraft, Shawn (Jessica Norwich) Kraft and Caila (Sergio Garcia) Yaggie; great-grandchildren, Braya, Reigna, Aria, Kira, Westley, Zachary, Carina, Jaxon, Colton, Adam, Anthony, Alijah, Izabella, Kaylee and Sheamus, and expecting great-granddaughters; 4 nieces and a nephew.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, William H. Dietz; sister, Ruth (late Gerard) Lynch; a great-granddaughter, Savannah Bergeron and a niece, Judy Lynch.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 11:00 a.m.  Private prayers of committal and interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
