George W. Kashishian

George W. Kashishian, age of 93, passed away at home on June 11, 2024.  Born on February 22, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruey (Kourmgian) Kashishian.

After graduation from high school, George worked for 2 years for Union Carbide.  He then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952, until his honorable discharge in 1954.  He married Margaurite Wackett in 1952 and were together for 50 years until she passed in 2002.  George worked for 40 years at National Fuel Gas as a pipefitter until his retirement.  He enjoyed working out, jogging, and cycling.  George was an avid sports fan never missing games played by the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, or the New York Yankees.

George is survived by children, Debra (Gerard Lewis), Darrel (Therese), Kevin (Liz), and Paul (Louise Augustyniak) Kashishian; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents and spouse, he was predeceased by 1 grandchild and a brother Anthony. 

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Friday, June 14th, from 4-7 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service, concluding with Military Honors, will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating.  Private interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
