Gino Nichele, Sr. Life story

Gino Nichele, Sr., 96, of Lewiston, NY, passed from this life on December 13, 2019.  Born on September 18, 1923 in Fanzolo, Italy, he was the son of the late Valdomiro and Amabile (Tosello) Nichele.

Mr. Nichele proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.  Gino was employed for many years at Union Carbide, until he retired.  He enjoyed numerous sports including, football, bowling, bicycling and horse racing as well as appreciating music and art.

Mr. Nichele is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta (Insinna) Nichele; children, Patricia (Paul) Brush, Gino (Donna) Nichele, Jr. and Gene Anthony (Janine) Nichele; step-children, Victor Adragna, Nancy (John) Maracle and Jacqueline (David) Cochrane; a brother, Angelo (Marion) Nichele and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Gino was predeceased by a sister, Mary Leo.

Gino’s Mass of Christian Burial, concluding with Military Honors, will be held on Friday, December 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Duane Klizek serving as celebrant.  Future private interment will be held with his family.
