Gizela "Grace" (Gabanyicz) Naughton

Gizela “Grace” (nee Gabanyicz) Naughton, 80, passed away on February 17, 2018.  Born on June 15, 1937 in Welland, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Szendi) Gabanyicz.  

Mrs. Naughton was raised and attended schools in Ontario.  Grace, as she was known to family and friends, came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1955, following her marriage to Roy C. Naughton, on November 19, 1955.  He predeceased her on May 21, 2004.

Mrs. Naughton, a talented artist, enjoyed painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics and stained glass.  She loved her cats, fishing and a glass of Champagne.  She was an avid bingo player and fantastic cook, which was passed down to her children

Mrs. Naughton is survived by her children, Charles (Deborah) Naughton, Robert (Juanita) Naughton, Peggy Naughton, Joseph (Eleanor) Naughton, Mary (Bryan) Oelkers, Cindy Naughton and Jennifer (David) Webb; grandchildren, Erin Naughton, Joshua Naughton, Brian Naughton, Jeffery (Amanda) Brown, Rebecca (Adam) McLain, Taylor Brown, Hillary Brown, Nicholas Galfo, Natalie Galfo, Allex Oelkers, Robert Davis III, Roy Davis and one great-grandchild.  Grace is also survived by brothers, Alex and Nicholas Gabany; several nieces, nephews, cousins and Robert E Davis Jr.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Elsie, Ethel, Joseph and her twin, Leslie. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 20th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 NOON in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 NOON.  Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY visit www.goodlandercares.com for online condolences.
