Gladys A. (Strasburg) Beningo

Gladys A. (Strasburg) Beningo, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 2, 2022 at Schoellkopf Health Care Center.  Born on September 13, 1929 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Grose) Strasburg and the wife of the late Raymond Beningo.

Gladys graduated from LaSalle High School in 1947.  She earned her Bachelors Degree in 1951 and her Masters Degree in 1958, both in Elementary Education.  She was employed as a school teacher for Huth Road School in the Grand Island School District, retiring in 1985.  Following her retirement, Gladys and her husband moved to Springhill, FL until Raymond passed away in 2015.  She came back to Niagara Falls to be with her family. Gladys was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. 

Gladys is survived by nieces and nephews; LuAnn (Tom) Via, Kathy (James Sikorski) Majka, Alan Strasburg, Laura Sutton, Heidi (Paul) Mollo, Karyn (Daniel Rozman) Beningo and Steven Beningo and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Alan Strasburg, Arlene Luick, Earl Strasburg and Wray Strasburg.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church on Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY.  Private burial will be held with her family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Share condolences at GOODLANDERCARES.com
