Grace D. (McQuade) Paschke

Grace D. Paschke (McQuade) passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2026, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. She was born on October 24, 1936, in Brokenhead Municipality, Manitoba, Canada.

Grace is lovingly remembered by her children: Kelly (Paschke) Weber, Scott (Lisa) Paschke, Connor (Jasmine) Paschke, Andrew (Maritza) Paschke, and Dylan Weber. She was also dearly loved by a large extended family of cousins and cherished friends.

Grace spent her early years in several locations out west before settling in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She later met her husband, Doug, at Club Lakewood in Youngstown. They were married on May 27 and together built a life grounded in love and family. Grace and Doug made their homes in Niagara Falls and Sanborn, New York, before raising their family in Youngstown, New York.

Throughout her life, Grace worked in a variety of roles, including with Carborundum, Jay’s Drug Store, and Family & Children’s Services. Following retirement, Grace and Doug relocated to Sun City in Bluffton, South Carolina, where she embraced an active lifestyle. She enjoyed serving as a kayak guide, playing pickleball, and traveling with Doug in their RV.

In 2008, they returned to Western New York and built their next retirement home in Ransomville. There, Grace found great joy in a close-knit community of caring neighbors and friends. She devoted much of her time to volunteering at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and the Wear-n-Share Clothing Closet, reflecting her generous and compassionate spirit.

After Doug’s passing, Grace continued to be surrounded by the love of her devoted friends, who became like family to her. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
