Guenter Feucht

Guenter Feucht, 91, of the Town of Niagara, passed into Glory, on January 10, 2025, at North Gate Health Care Facility, after a three month illness.  Born on March 30, 1933 in Germany, he was the son of the late Karl and Anna Feucht.  

Guenter was a Harvard Alumni, Engineer, member of Walnut Avenue Christian Church, Elder and Sunday School Teacher.  He served his community through the IDA as well as a mentor to many.  Guenter was a true man of God, who loved serving, praying and caring for those in need.  He will always be known as a brilliant, gentle, loving, private person, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who never saw wrong in others, only potential greatness in God’s transforming goodness.  Guenter will always and forever be missed and remain in our hearts. 

Guenter was predeceased by his first wife, Karen and had three children, Diane (Myron) Faulk, Dean (Sandy) Feucht and Melinda (John) Marian and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from them.  His present wife, Alice F. (Altstatt) DePetris-Feucht, of 25 years also had three children, the late Peter DePetris, Jr., Carolyn (David) Viola-Hargrave and Timothy (Jamie) DePetris as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from them.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Guenter’s funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17th, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor James Cassidy officiating. (The funeral service will be streamed live via Facebook.  You can view by visiting www.facebook.com/goodlandercares).  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  All donations and gifts should go to Walnut Avenue Christian Church.
