James A. Nicholas

James A. Nicholas, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on June 15, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on January 17, 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late James A. and Anne (Sticek) Nicholas.  On July 1, 1995, Jim as he was known, married and began a life with Lori L. Clyde.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle High School. He retired in January of 2018 from Apollo Steel, where he was employed as a welder. Jim was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan to say the least and enjoyed playing horseshoes and boating.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jim is survived by his children, Jamie Nicholas, Ryan (Kelly Blose) Nicholas and Brandon (Faith Reed) Nicholas; grandchildren, Erik and Olivia McCowen; sisters, Gail (Billy) Stokes and Rebecca Nicholas and several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY (716-297-9007), where Jim’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating.  Prayers of committal and entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Family and friends invited.****All occupancy, PPE and social distancing guidelines will be practiced.
