Janet L. (Morgan) Schnittker

Janet L. (Morgan) Schnittker, 64, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on January 12, 2022 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on October 17, 1957 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Ethel (Deeg) Morgan and the late Lafayette Morgan.  On November 5, 2005, Janet married David S. Schnittker.
 

Janet graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1975 and earned her Bachelors Degree in education in 1988 from the State University of New York at Fredonia, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  While at Lew-Port, she swam on their varsity swim team and was on their ski team.  Janet was employed as a school teacher at the former Niagara Christian Academy and was currently working for ASM Research in the Town of Niagara. She loved dancing, traveling and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sports games and music concerts.
 

In addition to her mother and beloved husband, Janet is survived by children, Melina (Christopher) Smith and Timothy Minton; grandchildren, Kimberly, Joshua, Kyla, Connor, Tyler and Samuel; siblings, Russell (Kelley) Morgan and Carol (René) Cevaer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 19th from 3-7 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where Janet’s funeral service and life celebration will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.  Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
