JoAnn (Rich) Mease

JoAnn (nee Rich) Mease, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on January 26, 2021 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Born on April 24, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Martha (nee Granada) Rich-Blazawski and the late Harold John Rich.  On August 1, 1978, JoAnn married Irvin Richard Mease, Sr. 

JoAnn was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, graduated from Niagara Falls High School and attended Niagara County Community College. For over 15 years, she was employed as a toll attendant for the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.  JoAnn worshipped at The Chapel at CrossPoint and enjoyed crafts and collecting gem stones.

In addition to her mother and husband, JoAnn is survived by children, Irvin Richard (Nadezda) Mease, Jr., Jonathon Richard Mease, Sr. and Antoine Barber; grandchildren, Jonathon Richard Mease, Jr., Jordan Matthew Mease, Sophia Alexandra Mease, Nicholas Richard Mease, Daniel Adam Mease, Elizabeth Martha Mease and Mark Joseph Mease; sister, LuAnn Reed; a niece and nephew, Jennifer Lynn Reed and Benjamin Dale Reed.

The family will be present on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where JoAnn’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Gillis officiating. Friends invited. Masks and social distancing will be required for your safety at all gatherings.  Thank you for your support and understanding. Private prayers of committal and interment will be held in the Western New York National Cemetery, Pembroke, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.
