Joan C. (Sulkey) Litten

Joan C. (Sulkey) Litten, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on October 10, 2021.  Born on September 25, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William Carl and Jean B. (St. Maurice) Sulkey.

Joan was a lifelong parishioner and communicant of St. Leo Church (St. Vincent de Paul Parish).  She enjoyed bowling, gardening and cooking.  Above all else, Joan loved spending time with her family. 

Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Carl Litten; daughters, Judith (Michael) Cisek and Jeanne (James Woods) Wilkins; son-in-law, Harry Thaxton, III; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Edith A. Thaxton; grandson, Andrew Wilkins and her brother, Carl Sulkey.

The family will be present on Friday, October 15th, from 4-7 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where Joan’s funeral service and life celebration will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
