John Russell Bruso

John Russell ‘JohnJohn’ Bruso, 18, of the Town of Niagara, passed from this life on December 1, 2020.  Born on September 16, 2002 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of Letitia (Fisher) Wilkesmore and the late Eric Russell Bruso.

JohnJohn, as he was known, was a lifelong area resident and was currently completing his senior year of high school at Niagara Wheatfield High School as a graduate of the class of 2021.  He was currently employed at Charleys Philly Steaks in the Fashion Outlet Mall.  Following high school he was aspired on attending barber school and looking forward to owning his own barber shop.

JohnJohn was a committed, dedicated and extremely talented dancer, learning under the accomplished, Adell Hoover Manarino, proprietor of Adell's School of Dance.  He had an amazing talent and ‘captured’  the audience when on stage.  JohnJohn liked to stay busy and active and enjoyed spending time with his uncle and brothers.

In addition to his loving mother, JohnJohn is survived by his two brothers, Steven Grover and Trent Bruso; maternal grandmother, Deborah (late Parke) Fisher, maternal grandfather, Howard (Edna) Wilson; paternal grandmother, Nora (Robert) Pinter; special uncle and best friend, David Fisher and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by paternal grandparents, John (Justine) Bruso.

Private committal prayers and interment will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery.  An annual dance scholarship for Adell's School of Dance, in honor of John, is being established by Adell Hoover Manarino.  If desired, please make donations payable to Adell's School of Dance (in Memo, 'for John Bruso’).
