Joseph Cicero

Joseph Cicero, 77, of Moon Township, PA, passed away on February 6, 2026.  Born on June 14, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the first born son of the late Ignatius and Sabina (Colucci) Cicero and the husband of Mary Louise (Cramer) Cicero, whom he married on July 20, 1979.

Joseph graduated from the former LaSalle High School in 1966.  He began his lifelong career in construction working as a Construction Laborer for the Laborers Local #91.  In 1972, he graduated from the University of Detroit, earning his BS in Civil Engineering.  Joseph then became a Field Engineer and served as a mentor and role model to many engineers, working on major projects in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.  In 2017, he retired as an Engineering Manager/Construction Manager. Joseph enjoyed skiing, entertaining, fine dining, traveling, good scotch, home remodeling, cooking, gardening, restoring antiques and trapping.  He especially loved visiting with family and friends and playing pinochle. 

Shortly after he kissed his wife Mary Lou, for the last time, he told her that he loved her and that their love would never die. Surrounded by his family, he passed away like a party animal, drinking single malt scotch from a crystal glass and declaring “Last call for alcohol”!

In addition to the love of his life, Joseph is survived by brothers, Richard (Michele Horpestad) Cicero and Leonard (Vera Travis) Cicero; a sister, Andrea (Bradley) Tomaszewski; brother-in-law, David J. (late Chris) Cramer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

All are welcome to gather for visitation on Wednesday, from 3-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Family and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 12th, at 10:00 a.m., in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Duane Klizek serving as celebrant.  Everyone please assemble at the church.  The Christian Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Donations may be made to: The ARC of Delaware County, 34570 State Highway 10, Walton, NY 13856, www.delarc@delarc.org
