Josephine (Gabriele) Ventry Masceri

Josephine (Gabriele) Ventry Masceri, 99, of Wheatfield, NY, passed from this life on December 1, 2021.  Born on June 20, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Romolo) Gabriele.

Josephine was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She was employed as a teller for the former Marine Midland Bank at various branches in Niagara Falls.  Josephine was a communicant of Prince of Peace Church and a member of the Red Hats Society.

Josephine was the mother of Madeline Ventry, the late Richard Ventry and the late James Ventry.  She is also survived by her daughter- in-love, Wendy (Thomas) Shine; grandchildren, Cathy (Rodney) Fodor, Richard (Maureen) Ventry and Joshua Ventry; great-grandchildren, Hannah Penque, Alaina Ventry, Giuliana Fodor, Noah Penque, Richard Ventry, Emilie Fodor and Marah Fodor; a sister, Eleanor (late Peter) Castiglione and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by spouses, Samuel Ventry and Luigi Masceri; grandchildren, Ryan Ventry and Jamie Penque; two brothers, Fred and John Gabriele and a sister, Mary Norris.
