Joyce M. (Williams) Libassi, 87, passed away on December 9, 2025. Born on December 29, 1937 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Williams and the wife of the late Benjamin J. Libassi.
Joyce graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle Washington in June 1955. She was employed by Ma Bell Telephone Company and then was a homemaker and later worked for Niagara University. Joyce enjoyed playing various card games such as Euchre. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by children, Michael (Jennifer) Libassi and Lynn (Steve) Attwood; grandchildren, Kristen (Sean) Faby, Janelle Attwood, Taylor Attwood, Teresa (Randy) Oaks, Gina Libassi, Lauren Libassi, Matthew (Indra) McIntosh and Shannon McIntosh; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Hallie, Vincent, Kane, Ophelia, Akira, Sophie and Moira. Besides her parents and husband, Benjamin Libassi, Joyce was also predeceased by her daughter, Paula (late Mark) McIntosh and siblings, Carol and Joan.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend Joyce’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 19th, at 11:00 a.m., celebrated in St. Leo Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Mario Racho serving as celebrant. Everyone please assemble at the church. Prayers of committal and entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Please make any charitable donations to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation or to one's choice.
