Karen Anne Barrett

Karen A. Barrett, 81, of Niagara Falls passed away peacefully in her home on May 21, 2025. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1961. She was a dietary supervisor at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center until her retirement in 2012.

She is survived by her daughters, Melynda Oakey, Robin (Derek) Harvey and Michelle Barrett; grandchildren, Jennifer, Troy and Erin Harvey; sister, Lynn (William) Fundis; brother, William (Sandy) Rutkowski and several nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Paul Barrett in 1997 and by her daughter Lynda Oakey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 24th starting at 10AM in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Karen graciously donated her body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program for medical research.
