Laura Anne (Barnes) Fantrazo

Laura Anne Fantrazo, 53, of the Town of Niagara, passed from this life on November 22, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born on August 4, 1967 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of JoAnne (Hermanson) MacNeil and Harold (Susan) Barnes and the step-daughter of the late James P. MacNeil.

Laura was a lifelong area resident, attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. She was a talented hairstylist owning her own salon, Cut & Clips Hair Salon in the Town of Niagara, and was working up until her illness became overwhelming. Laura was selfless, always caring about and for other people as others were most important to her.  Above all she loved spending time with her precious grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and father, Laura is survived by two children, Samantha Fantrazo and Matthew Fantrazo; grandchildren, Gionni Fantrazo and Camille Laski; siblings, James (Diane Roy) Barnes, Paul (Denise) Barnes, David (Jennifer Reed) MacNeil,  Kathy (Joseph Goraj) Shaw, Michael (Lisa) MacNeil and Dana Smith; her former spouse, Mathew Fantrazo and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

Laura’s funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, November 27th at 2:00 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch officiating.  Family and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.  Face coverings are required for your safety and social distancing will be enforced.  Arrangements are under the care of Michael R.
