Leola (Jones) Anderson

Leola Anderson, 88, of Rochester, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away on May 7, 2020.  Born on September 3, 1931 in Lady Lake, FL, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Annie Bell (Sparrow) Jones. In January of 1998, Leola married Robert L. Anderson, Sr. in Niagara Falls, NY.  He predeceased her on September 12, 2010.

As a child Leola attended local schools in Lady Lake, FL and received her GED later in life. She spent time in Leesburg, FL and Ocala FL, moved to Niagara Falls in 1966 then, to Rochester NY in 2018.  She loved spending time with family, playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Thomas, Alice Jones, Sharon (Scott) Clark, and Lois Jordan; sons, Kenneth (Erica) Jones, Ezekiel McKenzie and Homer (Sabrina) Jordan, Jr. 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by daughters, Evelyn Stewart and Elloise Chaffin; sisters, Maenoye Jones, Ruby Lee Jones and twins Mary Walker and Martha Gainer.

Due to the current regulations, all services and interment in Oakwood Cemetery will be held privately with her family.
