Ligia R. Melendez

Ligia R. Melendez, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on February 22, 2020.  Born on May 12, 1942 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Margarita Melendez.  Ligia was primarily a homemaker and unconditionally loved her family.

Ligia is survived by her former partner and best friend, Rafael Perez; children, Raymond Jimenez, Yvonne (Edwin) Crespo,  Enrique (Myrna) Jimenez, Sandra (DeeJay) Hendrickson and Adriann (Matthew) Davis; grandchildren, Andrew, Kris, Nieyaae, David, Chasity, Raymond, Carmen, Lisa, Renee, Ricky (Ilene), Joshua (Shirley), Naisha, Ray Ray, Rayana and Tiana; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alva Hernandez and Evelyn Gonzalez and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery.  Family and friends invited. Arrangements are under the care of Michael R.
