Lillian Eleanor (Hillman) Carbone

Lillian Eleanor (nee Hillman) Carbone, 100, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on March 9, 2023 at her residence.  Born on August 31, 1922 in Barker, NY, the third child of 7 siblings, to the late Walter and Ruby (nee Shepphard) Hillman.  On March 22, 1939, she married Oscar Carbone.  He predeceased her on August 5, 1995.

For over 50 years, Lillian was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society and a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books and reading.  Above all, Lillian loved spending time with her family.  She lovingly embraced being 'LaLa' to great-grandchildren, Tea, Livia and Derick Ruggiero.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Pauline (late Roderick) O'Donnell; son-in-law, Edward (Barbara) Wokersien; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Larry (Jacqueline) Carbone; daughter, Phyllis Wokersien and her siblings.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service for Lillian on Monday, March 13th, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston, NY, with Michael R. Goodlander officiating, where her private interment will take place following.
