Linda (nee Hewitt) (Campbell) Mikolajek, 73, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on May 17, 2020. Born on January 10, 1947 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Lola M. (McGee) Hewitt.
Linda was a former teacher at Harry F. Abate Elementary School. She then went on working for United States Investigation Services and also served as director of Early Childhood Development in Getzville of the JCC.
Linda was a loving mother, wife, nana, sister, and friend, who was always smiling and ready to do anything for those around her, particularly the grandkids who she adored deeply. As a schoolteacher she touched many lives and embodied the true spirit of what it takes to be a great teacher. Even after retirement, when Linda was interviewing people and carrying a badge, she was making friends who could not resist her energy and spirit. As a vibrant and fun person, her life with us was taken too soon, but the impact Linda had while here was profound and will be cherished. Her memories live on with each of us.
Linda is survived by her husband, Greg; children, Tara (Chuck) Sirianni and Ryan (Gail) Campbell; step-daughter, Lauren (Patrick) Holland; grandchildren, Adrianna, Joseph, Hewitt, Allie and Carter; siblings, Barbara (Peter) Baker and Bonnie (Jim) Sands. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie (Larry) Minor.
Due to the current pandemic regulation, public services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R. Goodlander, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME. To share condolences, visit Linda’s tribute page at GOODLANDERCARES.com
