Louis L. Zrebiec, Jr., PhD

Louie L Zrebiec Jr. PhD age 89 passed away peacefully on the afternoon of 4 September, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace, Lewiston, NY. Louie was the first of 5 children born to Helen (Zajac) and Louie Zrebiec Sr. of Niagara Falls, New York on 19 June 1936, where he was a life long resident . He is pre-deceased by his  parents, his sister Carol (Hagerman), brother Henry; niece Dawn Marie and many other loved ones were he is rejoicing in heaven.

Louie's passion in life was education. He received a B.A. Degree in 1960 from SUNYAB; M.S. in 1965 from Canisius College; and Ph.D. 1972 from SUNYAB, Buffalo, NY. His PhD was in Philosophy and a double minor in Statics. He is recognized in The National Reference Institute in Washington, DC. (1989-1990). The Marquis Who's Who Publications Board 1993 to 1995. He also published his Thesis called; An Examination of the Joint Effects of Organization and Retrieval Cues on Item Retrieval in Free-Recall Learning by Louis Zrebiec Jr.

Louie was not only brilliant, he was a mentor to many, with his favorite saying "Take Each Day as it Comes". He loved going to Jacks Lake, a cottage that he, our brother Henry and Dad built. He was there for the family no matter what. Teaching my nephews to read, even bought special Christmas Gifts for each one of us during Christmas Holidays. So much kindness, he loved everyone, family and many special friends.

He is survived by his sister Shirley Romer, Devoted sister Phyllis Parkinson-Snow, Brother-in-law Larry Snow, Niece Denise (Zrebiec) Villescaz, seven nephews; Johnny Hagerman ( Wife Paula); Lewis Hagerman ( Wife Nancy); Henry Jr. (Wife Victoria); David Zrebiec; Billy and Kevin Parkinson; and Max Romer, (wife Sarah). He leaves many great nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Dr Louis Zebiec, PhD will be laid to rest in the family plot at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. May he Rest in Peace. A special Thank you goes out to the Staff at Our Lady of Peace for all their care and dedication.
