Louise C. (Jakubek) Lynch

Louise C. (nee Jakubek) Lynch, 94, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on March 28, 2023 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on April 20, 1928 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mikotaj and Catherine (nee Kabala) Jakubek.

Weezy, as she was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident, attended local schools as well as Niagara County Community College.  She owned and maintained several properties throughout the area, in which she thoroughly enjoyed supporting her tenants.  Weezy was formerly an employee of the Niagara Falls Country Club.  She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where she attended the St. Leo worship site.  Weezy enjoyed bingo and the casino.  People mattered to Weezy.  She was known to help anyone in need at anytime.  Weezy was a deeply proud and rooted resident of Isherwood Drive, where she was well known and cared for so many.   The residents of Isherwood Drive all knew her as 'mom' and ‘grandma.’

Louise is survived by children, Patricia (Carl) Saph and Kelly (James) Gatto; 11 grandchildren, Carl (Karli), Wayne (Lynn), Michelle (Simon), Craig (Toni), Joseph, Leah, Johnny, Kaitlyn (Sam), James (Noelle), Jr., Lacey and Cory; 11 great-grandchildren; dear family and friends, Helen Capp, Judy Seger and Jimmy Navis and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first spouse, Richard Patrick Lynch; her second spouse of 47 years, David Higby; children, Wayne P. Lynch and Lorie M. Lynch and her siblings, Charlie, Stella, Julie and Laura.

The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, April 2nd, from 12-3 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Weezy’s life celebration and funeral service will follow visitation at 3:00 p.m., with Rev.
