Marcelle Riter Life story
Marcelle Ann (Sherer) Riter, 78, of Newfane and Wilson, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on November 15, 2020 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY. Born on March 22, 1942 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Joseph and Millie (Moreau) Sherer.
Marcelle worked as a school teacher for various school district. Most of her career was spent at the former Holy Angles Academy in Buffalo.
Marcelle is survived by children, Andrea (Michael) Pellittiere, Gregory (Christine) Riter, Larissa (Shawn) Jimerson, Tanya (Steve) Lyman and Jeremy Riter; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Pellittiere, Ethan Pellittiere, Rebecca Riter, Paul Riter, Christopher Jimerson, Stephen Lyman, Jr., Benjamin Lyman and Hannah Riter; a great-granddaughter, Emily Pellittiere; a brother, Raymond Sherer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Sherer.
