Margaret Miriam (Rummel) Baer

Margaret Miriam (nee Rummel) Baer, 94, a lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed into the loving arms of Jesus, on December 6, 2022. Born on October 14, 1928 in Cherry Tree, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (nee Kerr) Rummel.  On June 29, 1947, Margaret married William John Baer in Glen Hope, PA.  He predeceased her on December 23, 1996.

Margaret attended schools in Pennsylvania, came to Niagara Falls following her marriage, and resided in Belden Center until William’s passing.  She had a deep Christian faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.  

Margaret is survived by children, Bruce (Miriam) Baer, Beverly Baer and Robyn Sysol; a daughter-in-law, Audrienne Baer; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Rummel and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by a son, Irvin W. Baer; a granddaughter, Lauri Kangas and her siblings.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, December 10th, from 2-4 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Margaret’s funeral service and life celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Paul Saya officiating.  Private interment will be held with her family in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family.  Share condolences at GOODLANDERCARES.com
