Margaret Suzanne (Swan) Essenburg

Margaret Suzanne (Swan) Essenburg, 68, of Hudson, FL,  formally of North Tonawanda, NY, passed peacefully with her husband beside her on November 30, 2023, while staying at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on April 5, 1955 in Lewiston, NY, to the late James and Patricia (Carton) Swan. She is the beloved wife of James F. Essenburg and the devoted mother to Michael (Laurie) Essenburg and Kelly Essenburg. Peggy was the most loving Nana to her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters and brother. Peggy will be missed by so many family and friends.

Peggy graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She was a resident of the Florida Keys for over 20 years. She wore many hats over time from devoted wife and mother to retiring from her career as a professional  interior painter. She loved crafting of any kind, making each piece unique just as she was. Peggy left a huge impact on everyone she came in contact with, even in her last days. Peggy’s contagious laughter will be remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend Peggy’s funeral service and life celebration, honoring God and her life, on Saturday, December 9th, at 10:00 a.m., in the Andrews Chapel at The Chapel at CrossPoint, 500 CrossPoint Parkway, Getzville, NY.  Following the services the family invites all family and friends to brunch at Banchettis, 550 N. French Rd. Amherst, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice and/or Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
