Margueritte “Peggy” Decker, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Cabot, PA. Born on July 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Gissella Townsend.
Peggy was married to Earl Decker for 53 years until his passing in 2001. She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Paul) Garcia, Sharla-Rae (Carl) Swann and Billie-Jo (Ron) Snyder, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Peggy is also survived by her sister Alvera (James) Ossman and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
While living in Niagara Falls, Peggy was part of several square dance clubs and roller-skating groups, as well as the Rainbow Raiders Drum & Bugle Corp. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls and had worshipped for many years at Bethel Baptist Church in Getzville.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17th at 10 a.m., with Rev. David Ewing officiating. Internment to follow in North Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot, PA.
