Mark Dean Trosky

September 16, 1956 – June 28, 2026

Mark Dean Trosky passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2026, at the age of 69.

Born to Betty (Towner) Trosky and Charles Trosky, Mark was raised on Whitney Avenue in Niagara Falls alongside his brother, Mike. Mark was a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and true grit. He had a wonderfully self-deprecating sense of humor, and if he gave you a hard time, it usually meant you had earned a special place in his heart.

Mark built a life centered on family. He was the devoted husband of the late Patricia “Pattie” (Page) Trosky, whom he loved deeply throughout their 40 years together. He was the proud father of Melissa (Chris) Lauricella, whom he adopted in 1983, and Mark (Jen) Trosky Jr. His greatest joy was being “Papa” to his grandchildren, Skyler, Louis, Anthony, and Abigail.

Music was woven throughout Mark’s life. A talented musician who played by ear, he was best known as the drummer for the local band ReflectoЯ, but he also played guitar, trumpet, and sang. He continued performing until his hands no longer allowed him to do what he loved.

Mark’s career included time at Regal Tip, maintaining hotels throughout Niagara Falls, and later serving as one of the original employees at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, where he proudly worked in security as employee #39.

Outside of work, Mark found happiness on his motorcycle, with his beloved dogs, Baby and Camille, and most of all, surrounded by the people he loved.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Trosky; his extended family; and many friends whose lives were brighter because of his humor, loyalty, and steady presence.

While his family mourns his loss, they find comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Pattie, the love of his life.

In accordance with Mark’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in the way he would have wanted.
