Mary Louise Brinson

March 3, 1958 ~ March 18, 2026 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Mary Brinson Life story

Mary Louise Brinson, 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, was called home after a lengthy illness on March 18, 2026. Born on March 3, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Michael) Daniels and late Robert Searight and Eston James Russell.

Mary was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Niagara University. In her younger years, she was a well-known figure in the Packard Court community, famous for her candy apples, popcorn balls, and homemade candy.

Mary’s heart for children was her defining trait. She served as a foster parent for over 20 years, providing a home and guidance to over 300 children. She was known for instilling values of manners and respect in those she cared for. It was common to see her out in the community with a group of 12 or more children, taking them on trips to the Falls, Toronto, Buffalo, and local parks.

Mary was a woman of deep faith, she accepted the Lord at a young age and was an active member of Glorious C.O.G.I.C., Morning Star C.O.G.I.C., and Covenant of Grace Ministries. Her personal joys included writing poetry, watching African movies, coloring, and seeding cherished time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son, Antwon (Margaret) Brinson; grandchildren, Dominique, Khiam, and Emery; brothers and sisters, James Russell Sr., Randall (Denise) Russell, Diane Moore, Michelle (Jack) George, Kathy Searight, and Gwen (Rickey) Daniels and extended family. Robert Searight Jr. Mary was predeceased by a son, Christopher Brinson; grandparents, Marie and Arthur Brinson Sr., and a brother, Gilbert Dawayne Russell.

The family of Mary L. Brinson gratefully acknowledges the prayers, calls, visits, cards, flowers, and acts of kindness shown during their time of bereavement.

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 5:8
