Mary Ann (nee Richards) Finnen, 69, of Sanborn, NY, passed from this life on May 3, 2021. Born on March 2, 1952 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Gerald and Nila Gay Richards.

Mary Ann attended schools in West Virginia, college in Canada and came to the Niagara Falls area in the 1970’s. She proudly served in the United States Army prior to starting her family. Mary Ann retired as an electrician from the New York State Power Authority, where she was the first female electrician to take that position. She served as a volunteer for the Richburg Colonial Library, loved painting, the outdoors and nature and enjoyed Karate.

Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Thomas Arthur Finnen; daughters, Jennifer (Derek) Egan Soule and Traci Maines; grandchildren, Malissa Maines, Matthew Maines, Timothy Maines, Parker Soule and Beckett Soule; brothers, Michael (Pam) Richards and Van (Cynthia) Richards; a sister, Jerri (Mike) Davis and several nieces and nephews.
