Mary Ann (Lane) Renne, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 17, 2026 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on March 6, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy (Drew) Lane. On January 23, 1954, Mary Ann married John Alfred “Jack” Renne. He predeceased her on September 16, 2003.
Mary Ann attended local schools and was employed as a Head Cook for the former Niagara Catholic High School. She was a member of the former Cataract Campers. Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, ceramics, cooking, doll collecting, traveling with her grandchildren and family and friends and attending Blue Grass Festivals with her late son, John.
Mary Ann is survived by children, Darlene (Michael) Buffone, Brenda (Jeffery) Oldfield, Gerald (Lisa) Renne, David (late Jackie) Renne and Kenneth Renne; nieces, Barbara Gill and Michelle Lane; grandchildren, Paul, Vincent, Christopher, Stephanie, Jennifer, Joel, Heather, Aubrey, Donald, Amber, David Jr. and Jacqueline; several great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, John S. Renne and brothers, John and Roy Lane.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Sunday, April 26th, from 3-7 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend Mary Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 27th at 11:00 a.m., celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Mario Racho presiding. Everyone please assemble at the church.
