Mary Jo (nee Corcoran) Moran ‘MJ’, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 9, 2021 after a valiant fight against COVID-19. MJ was born in Lewiston, NY on November 7, 1959. She lived in Lewiston until age 18, whereafter she moved to Niagara Falls and remained a resident for the rest of days.
In 1977, MJ graduated from Lewiston Porter High School, after which she worked various jobs until 1983, when after the birth of her first child, at which time she became a very dedicated stay-at-home mom, donating a lot of her time and energy to her children’s various activities at St. John de LaSalle School, also coaching multiple sports. After returning to the workforce in a couple different secretarial positions, she was recently retired and spent the majority of her days spending time with her grandchildren.
In her free time, MJ had many hobbies. Never one to sit still for long. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, had an endless amount of household projects, and was always looking to have a fun time. She had a real passion for adventuring to new places, meeting new friends and leaving a lasting impression everywhere she went. Above all else, Mary Jo was the definition of a ‘Mama Bear.’ She spent almost everyday for the last forty years sharing her time with her children and grandchildren, teaching them, molding them, and showing them as much of the world and what it had to offer as she possibly could.
MJ is survived by her step-mother, Nancy Corcoran; children, Patrick (Joyelle) Moran, Timothy (Ashley) Moran, Tami (Robert) Moran and Brian Moran; step-daughters, Lisa (William) LaSeur and Kimberly Delrolice; three sisters, Colleen (Steve) Richards, Kathleen ‘Cookie’ (Mark) Gingras and Kristen Corcoran and three brothers, James Corcoran, Kenneth (Susan) Moore and Christopher (Holly) Corcoran.
