Nicholas Delgobbo Life story

Nicholas A. Delgobbo, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.  Born on November 16, 1961 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony N. and Patricia (Becker) Delgobbo, Sr.

 

Nick, as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong resident and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1979.  He proudly served in the United States Navy, as a fire control technician on the 16 inch guns, aboard the USS New Jersey (BB62), from March 25, 1980 until his honorable discharge on March 24, 1986.  Nick had a brilliant mind and was talented at understanding how things functioned, especially vehicles.  He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, puzzles and games.  Nick was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church and a member of the VFW.

 

Nick is survived by children, Nicholas Anthony Delgobbo, James Dominic Delgobbo, Danelle (Mike) Hillman and Mary (Ryan) Woods; grandchildren, Jeremy, Phillip, Kaitlyn and Emily; siblings, John (Valerie) Delgobbo, Debra (Edmund) Passero, Anthony N. Delgobbo, Jr., Cynthia (Jennifer) Delgobbo, Leonard Delgobbo and Patricia (Frank Fiori) Delgobbo; a supporting cousin, Theodore Weed, Sr., childhood friend, Lewis Blevins and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sally Lynn (Blasko) Delgobbo, who passed away on April 10, 2016 and twin brothers, Louis and Angelo Delgobbo.

 

Family and friends are invited to attend Nick’s Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Raphael Parish, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Father Ivan Skenderovic serving as celebrant.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow, concluding with Military Honors, in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
