Life story

Norman C. Collins, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 13, 2022.  Born on July 16, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence Chester and Clara Norine (nee Connor) Collins.


Norm, as he was known to family and friends, graduated from LaSalle High School and attended Niagara County Community College. He was employed for several local companies and businesses, finally retiring from Auto Zone in Niagara Falls.  Norm was an avid NASCAR, Buffalo Bills and Twilight Zone Series fan and a collector of NASCAR memorabilia.  He also enjoyed golfing and computer gaming.  Over the years, Norm saved numerous feral cats and other wildlife.  


Norm is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Debra Dziamski; a sister, Sandra Barr; aunt, Dorothea Mort; nephews, Eric (Melinda) Custo, Jr. and Corey; nieces, Robyn, Kristie and Renee; a great-niece, Jocelyn Custo; step-children, Amy and Mark Dziamski; several cousins and 3 cats.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Diane R. Custo and several aunts, uncles and cousins.


There will be no prior visitation.  Norm’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19th, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston, NY, with Michael R. Goodlander officiating.  Friends invited. Interment will follow at the cemetery following his service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA.  Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).  Share condolences at
