Patricia Kathleen ‘Pat’ (Lysaght) Augustyniak, 94, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at Summerlin Senior Living in Las Vegas, NV.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Henry S. Augustyniak, her parents, Michael and Mary (McCormick) Lysaght, and 5 siblings, John, Michael, and Frank Lysaght, Marie Reinhold, and Helen Taczak.
Patricia is survived by her children, David (Kristine) Augustyniak, and Darlene (Louis) Baker, her grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Daniel) Kulesza, Lauren Augustyniak, Isabella and Katrine Baker, Chloe (Calen) Evans, and her great-grandchildren, Caden, Kaiya, and Comptyn Evans and cherished nieces and nephews.
Pat attended local schools and was a resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She worked at Falls Cleaners, Capitol Cleaners, and Vishay Thin Film where she enjoyed her career until her retirement at 87 years young.
She spent her life as a devout Catholic, serving as a lector (along side her husband who served as a Eucharistic Minister), and president of the Mother’s Club at Holy Trinity RC Church and School, during which time she was fortunate to have met Pope John Paul II. She also had an affinity for carrying on traditions of her family’s heritage, whether that was celebrating her Irish roots on St. Patrick’s Day, taking her grandchildren to a parade and teaching them to polka dance or cooking traditional Polish meals on the holidays.
Pat loved to play bingo with her friends and granddaughters and to root for the Buffalo Bills. If you knew her, you know about her baking prowess. Whatever your favorite treat was, she’d remember and bake it just for you. She was especially generous with her time and talents.
Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, generosity, joy, and laughter — all things that she will be remembered for. She will be deeply missed by her family whom she loved with all of her heart.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where prayers will be offered on Friday, November 22nd at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. celebrated in St. Peter Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY., with Rev.
